Connecting people with God and Neighbor

Senior Adult Ministry
For a full schedule of our current events please click here.
The Senior Connection was formed in December, 2009, when Wayne Hutson realized the need for a senior program in the church and community. The seniors of our church are now an integral and active part of our congregation, and we are reaching out to the surrounding community with worthwhile projects and an invitation to join us in our activities.
The Congregational Care Committee is a subcommittee of The Senior Connection. We visit shut-ins on a regular basis, make phone calls, and send cards so that these members will know we continue to love and honor them even though they can’t always be present at our functions.
The Senior Connection has been active in working with The Wesley Foundation, youth department and children’s department, helping to supply fruit for backpacks for children on weekends, and numerous other beneficial programs.
We have had day trips to the “Passions” exhibit, Tulsa aquarium, the Chickasaw Museum, etc. and more are planned for the future.
We sponsor the Page-Turners Book Club that meets the first Monday of each month and anyone is welcome to attend, regardless of age, gender or church affiliation.
We are reaching out to the community and hoping everyone feels welcome to join us in our activities. This is a wonderful opportunity to make friends and we know you will feel the presence of God in all of the activities.
